Russian River Fly FishingOn our day off between tournaments, Lindsey, Keri & Ethan headed south of Anchorage to Cooper Landing. We spent the day fly fishing on the Russian River at the confluence of the Kenai River. The reds were running pretty good and we hooked into quite a few! It was our first time combat fishing, and it took a little bit of time to get used to that and figure out the technique to hook the fish. It was another issue trying to land the fish, but Lindsey ended the day with one nice salmon that tasted great the next day! |
