Mt. Elbert - 14,433 ft September 20, 2009 We decided to hike Colorado and the Rocky Mountain's highest peak! It was a really enjoyable hike. We had a little snow and it was pretty brisk at the top, but we had a great time. The pups did great on the hike and added another 14er to their list. Click here to see more photos

Bangs & Billings Canyon - Grand Junction, CO Labor Day, 2009 After 2 days of flyball, we took the ATVs out to play! We hit the trails of Bangs canyon and had a blast. Schofield Pass - between Crested Butte & Marble August 28, 2009 We spent the weekend camping out by Crested Butte. Since the salmon weren't running, we went out for a hike. We drove the truck as far as we could on Schofield Pass road, then we pulled over and hiked up a hill! The hike was a mix of cross-country and animal trails. At the top (12,700 ft), we had great 360 deg views! Click here to see more photos

South Boulder Peak - Boulder, CO August 17, 2009 Since the dogs didn't get to play in the Muddy Buddy with us, we decided to go out for a hike on Monday after the race. In case we didn't get enough of a workout on Sun, we set our sights on South Boulder Peak! The hike climbs about 3000 ft in just over 3 miles. Click here to see more photos

Muddy Buddy - Boulder Reservoir, CO August 16, 2009 I decided to enter Travis and myself in the Muddy Buddy bike and run race in Boulder! It's a 6-7 mile course with 5 legs. The teammates alternate running & biking and at the end, you have to crawl through a mud pit! We had a great time and definitely played in the mud more than others. Click here to see more photos
